Pratik Dattani, Chairman and Media lead
Pratik is an Economist who studied at Warwick and Munich. He has published work on behavioural economics and maintains an economics blog. Pratik works in Economic Consulting. He set up the Hindu Network in 2009 at his previous workplace, a Big 4 accounting firm, and takes part in several other community activities. He has been Chairman of the CHN since November 2010. Aekta Mahajan, Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Events lead
Aekta works as a Management Information Manager for the Cabinet Office. After graduating from King’s College London, she joined Accenture’s Management Consulting program; where she become the lead for Accenture’s Asian Network. Following Accenture, she spent two years working in Deutsche Bank’s Chief Operating Office, two years at the Home Office (IPS) and has previously completed internships at HSBC and the UK India Business Council. In her spare time, she supports the Unique Home orphanage in India. |

Tarang Katira, Community Lead
Tarang is an Investment Professional, focusing on private equity fund investing. Prior to his current role, Tarang worked in Mergers and Acquisitions, and Valuations and Strategy Consulting. Tarang gained BSc and MSc degrees in Economics from the University of Cambridge and has subsequently become a CFA charterholder and a CAIA charterholder. During his time at Cambridge, Tarang served on the Cambridge University Hindu Cultural Society committee with a focus on college networks and student welfare. Tarang has worked with charitable organisations focusing on learning difficulties, teaching, and youth entrepreneurship in the UK, to working with street children in India. In his spare time, Tarang enjoys cricket, diving, philosophy and archery. |

Dipen Jobanputra, Education Lead
Dipen is Vice President in Sales with Jefferies, with a specialisation in Electronic and Algorithmic trading, a position he has held for the last 4 years. Prior to Jefferies he spent 5 years with Dresdner Klienwort in a number of client facing positions, latterly as a Vice President in the Digital Markets division with a focus on Sales and Business Development. Dipen began his career in the City working for Goldman Sachs in derivatives and then moved to Investment Banking, working in Tokyo, Frankfurt and London. Dipen holds an LLB Joint Honours in Law and Japanese from the University of Cardiff and a post graduate diploma in Legal Practice. He speaks fluent Japanese and Gujarati. His external interests include travel, cooking, running a Theatre club and stand up comedy. |

Bijal Shah, Personal Development Lead
Bijal Shah is an Associate Director in the Financial Regulation space at a leading bank. She has eight years of experience in the financial services sector and is an expert in Prudential Banking Regulation. Bijal holds a BSc Honours in Mathematics from the University of Warwick and is a qualified Certified Chartered Accountant. She also holds a certificate in psychotherapy and counselling skills and actively promotes the importance of self development in achieving professional and personal goals. |

Dhruv Patel, CHN Founder
Dhruv is involved in the investment space managing a small securities portfolio, chairing the board of trustees of a small pension scheme, operating (having set up) a Lloyds of London underwriting vehicle and buying and devloping real estate. He previously completed the graduate scheme at Barclays Capital during which time he had the idea for and started the CHN. He has temporarliy reduced his role in Hindu community work somewhat but still helps out with the Network where he can and is also Secretary of the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies Endowment Campaign committee and the Hindu Community Representative on the London Organising Committee of the 2012 Olympic Games Faith Reference Group.
